About The Position

Otis is seeking a Sales Generalist to join their growing team. The primary objective of this role is to drive sales growth by cultivating and managing customer relationships through sales achievements, problem-solving, and comprehensive account management. This position will be based in the Oklahoma City territory and will report to the general manager. The role involves managing a portfolio of elevator units, serving as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, developing repair and modernization sales, creating sales strategies to meet targets, utilizing sales tools for tracking and forecasting, conducting negotiations, and collaborating with team members.

Requirements

  • Business or technical degree, or completed training as a technician or technical business administrator
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience
  • Experience in the sale of technical products requiring customer consultation
  • Strong customer and service orientation, including excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
  • Target focused, with the ability to work at pace in a demanding, complex, corporate organization

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of elevator units through maintaining good working relationships with existing customers
  • Serve as primary contact for timely resolution of customer needs surrounding inquiries
  • Develop build-on repair and modernization sales through networking, bids and tenders
  • Develop your own sales strategy to achieve sales targets, ensuring profitability
  • Use Otis’ sales tools to effectively track opportunities, pipeline, and forecast sales results
  • Conduct sales negotiations and close deals, ensuring payment on time
  • Collaborate with fellow team members, including other sales representatives and field colleagues
