About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a full-time Sales Floor Merchandise Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing by Associates, and maintaining an excellent customer experience through engagement and store upkeep. The Coordinator models exceptional customer service, creates a positive environment, and promotes honesty and integrity. Key duties include orchestrating truck delivery, prioritizing merchandise processing, training and mentoring Associates on merchandising principles, ensuring proper tagging and coding of merchandise, and communicating with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow to the sales floor. The role also involves monitoring team productivity, coaching as needed, organizing back stock, maintaining merchandising and signage standards, upholding backroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with recycling programs, communicating effectively with management and Associates, providing and accepting feedback, partnering with management on training needs, ensuring adherence to labor laws and policies, promoting credit and loyalty programs, supporting shrink reduction goals, and promoting safety awareness. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

1 year retail experience.
6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Execute receiving and merchandising standards.
Ensure Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team.
Provide an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
Model exceptional customer service.
Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritize as needed.
Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
