The role includes coaching and training associates, delegating and following up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. The supervisor works with leaders to identify approaches that support sales and service objectives and communicates effective practices to the team. They may supervise associates in other departments as needed, requiring broad product knowledge and the ability to engage associates and customers across departments. The role also involves keeping management informed of concerns, issues, praise, and morale. Individuals may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty. Regular travel is not required, but occasional travel to meetings, trainings, or neighboring stores may be needed.
