About The Position

The Sales Floor Department Supervisor leads and enables a team of associates to deliver a strong customer experience. The role includes coaching and training associates, delegating work, following up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. Supervisors handle both customer-facing activities—such as greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, and closing sales—and non-customer-facing work, including down stocking, inventory management, and area recovery. They also promote store safety through safety walks, hazard reporting, and guidance on safe work and lifting practices. The supervisor works with store leaders to identify effective approaches for meeting sales and service objectives and communicates those practices to the team. The role may require supervising associates in other departments, applying broad product knowledge, and communicating upward about concerns, issues, praise, and morale. Supervisors may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, trainings, or neighboring stores may be needed.
