The Sales Floor Department Supervisor leads and enables a team of associates to deliver a strong customer experience. The role involves coaching and training associates, delegating and following up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. The supervisor helps associates provide customer service and supports store operations such as down stocking, inventory management, area recovery, and merchandising decisions. The supervisor oversees customer-facing activities, including greeting customers, clarifying their needs, identifying solutions, and closing sales. The role also supports store safety by monitoring power-equipment use, coaching safe behaviors and lifting techniques, conducting safety walks, and reporting hazards. The supervisor works with leaders to identify effective sales and service practices and communicates them to the team. They may supervise associates in other departments as needed, communicate concerns and updates to management, and occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty. Regular travel is not required, but occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support of neighboring stores or outlets. This is an hourly full-time role, generally scheduled for 39 to 40 hours per week, with additional hours potentially required based on store needs. Morning, afternoon, and evening availability is required any day of the week.
