About The Position

The Sales Floor Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers and applying the company’s customer experience principles. The role also maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment and follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate handles customer purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, processes merchandise for the sales floor, and participates in merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction activities. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and accepts and provides recognition and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0407, 4366 S College Ave Unit F, Fort Collins, Colorado. Starting pay is USD $15.50 to $16.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The posting does not specify a work schedule or workplace type.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain and uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work in multiple areas of the store when cross-trained, as needed to support the business.
