About The Position
The Sales Floor Associate assists with the daily operations of an assigned store, including merchandising, stocking, processing freight, and supporting customers. The associate helps maintain a clean, welcoming, safe, and respectful environment and is cross-trained to operate the cash register and take on front-end duties as needed. The position also includes maintaining cash security and protecting company assets. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
- High level of integrity is required.
- Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required.

Responsibilities
- Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely in accordance with productivity standards.
- Merchandise and stock as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and interact professionally and courteously with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
- Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
