About The Position

The Sales Floor Associate assists with the daily operations of an assigned store, including merchandising and supporting customers. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and is cross-trained to support the cash register and perform front-end duties as needed. Duties may include receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, processing freight, stocking, cleaning, assisting customers, and completing sales transactions. The position also involves maintaining cash security and protecting company assets. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height and meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity.
Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely in accordance with productivity standards.
Merchandise and stock as needed.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
Help maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
