About The Position

This role involves creating job estimates based on customer specifications and preparing sales quotes. The Sales Estimator will review and interpret customer specifications and drawings to generate sales quotes for prospective customers. Additionally, the position provides Design Support data for customers and engineers, creates individual job cost estimates related to prepared quotes, and offers technical support to customers regarding product needs for their projects. A key responsibility includes reviewing entered Order Acknowledgements to ensure accuracy of equipment details for customer projects. The role also requires periodic updates to estimating templates to reflect current pricing.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales or Estimating with an emphasis in Manufacturing sales and/or Mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

• CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates job estimates using specifications received by customer and prepare sales quotes for the customers.
• Review and interpret specifications and drawings from customers and prepare sales quote to offer to prospective customers.
• Provide Design Support data for customers and engineers.
• Create individual job cost estimates related to quotes prepared.
• Provides technical support to customers when inquiring about products needed for design of the project.
• Review entered Order Acknowledgements to ensure they contain all the correct equipment needed for the design of the customer’s project.
• Update estimating templates periodically to ensure quotes are using current prices.
