About The Position

Rubrik is hiring a Sales Engineering Intern for its 12-week Summer 2027 internship program in Austin, Texas, running June 1 through August 20, 2027. Sales Engineers at Rubrik act as strategic influencers: they help shape the capabilities involved in deals, build customer champions, and connect Rubrik’s value to customers’ business challenges. The program is structured in three phases. Weeks 1–4 cover sales engineering foundations, presentation skills, Microsoft 365 skills, and shadowing Sales Engineers on live calls. In weeks 5–7, the intern plans, builds, and internally presents an AI project to carry into the capstone. Weeks 8–12 include shadowing Professional Services and Support, live role plays, and a capstone showcase before Sales Engineering leadership. The showcase includes a customer-ready demo or presentation and a presentation explaining the AI project, its solution, and its impact. Weekly activities include a Monday team meeting, a one-to-one with a mentor and Sales Engineering director, and open-ended shadowing when calls or proofs of concept are underway. The intern will learn to uncover prospects’ business challenges, help field teams identify and equip technical stakeholders to advocate for Rubrik, develop an understanding of campaign execution strategies, and collaborate with Account Executives, Sales Leaders, and Specialist Teams. Rubrik’s internship program also offers mentorship, professional development, networking, social and volunteering events, and opportunities to contribute to projects involving privacy, business continuity, and digital safety.
