About The Position

This automation powerhouse is looking for ambitious, articulate and proactive salespeople and engineers to develop into a full cycle Sales Manager over a 12 month program. This company provides tailored solutions, custom built to customer specification for Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems, Pallet Shuttle Storage and Automated Guided Vehicles. A typical projects ranges from $500k to $5m+.

Requirements

  • Experience in selling or engineering within the Automated Storage or Material Handling Industry.
  • An ambitious, hard working attitude.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to ensure you can lead client projects.
  • Ambitious and proactive technical person looking to develop into a sales role

Nice To Haves

  • Educated in Engineering at degree level or above: Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Internal sales experience within engineering / manufacturing industries will be advantageous.
  • Experience within hands on engineering roles will also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan across the US
  • Prospect for new business to grow your project portfolio
  • Manage and grow key accounts while identifying new project opportunities
  • Lead complex, consultative sales processes from first conversation to contract signature
  • Conduct site surveys and work closely with customers to define technical and operational requirements
  • Write and present detailed commercial proposals and forecasts
  • Negotiate with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and leadership teams
  • Work cross functionally with engineering, project delivery, and service teams to ensure flawless execution
  • Manage your own diary, priorities, and pipeline like a professional
