About The Position

This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through research, cold outreach, networking, and industry events. The Sales Engineer will conduct customer visits to explore growth potential, assess customer needs, and propose customized product solutions, including preparing and delivering technical and commercial proposals. Key responsibilities include customer relationship management, serving as the main point of contact for distributors and end users, resolving inquiries and complaints, and assisting with logistics, customs processes, order tracking, and delivery coordination. The role also provides technical support, guiding customers in the design, installation, and setup of transverse jaws for packaging machines, troubleshooting sealing issues, and collaborating with the internal engineering team for product modifications and design approvals. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will coordinate internally by communicating customer feedback to engineering and production, assisting with administrative duties such as invoicing and documentation, and coordinating with logistics to meet customer-specific shipping and delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years in technical support, maintenance, or roles related to packaging machinery (e.g., horizontal/vertical form-fill-seal machines, transverse jaws).
  • Solid understanding of packaging machine components and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret and validate technical drawings.
  • Ability to accurately measure and document mechanical components.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with sealing issues.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective liaison between clients and internal departments.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with frequent travel (50% +/-).

Nice To Haves

  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

  • Coordinate with logistics to meet customer-specific shipping and delivery requirements.
