About The Position

As a Sales Effectiveness Analyst Co-op on the National Office Sales Effectiveness team, you will learn about the mass affluent client base and how our Imperial Service Advisors deliver planning and advice to help clients achieve their goals, in partnership with their Financial Planning Consultant colleagues. Your day to day will be to assist with the idea generation and analysis to identify skill gaps and opportunities, work on various initiatives across the team, and supporting the development and delivery of content to the frontline Imperial Service and Financial Planning & Advice advisory teams. You will help contribute to process improvements and enhancements to the internal sites and resources. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Understand the fundamentals of sales and financial planning and are eager to learn more.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Enjoy working with data, uncovering insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations.
  • Skilled communicator.
  • Can present ideas clearly and build engaging decks for various audiences.
  • Comfortable with Excel.
  • Exposure to Tableau or similar tools.
  • Experience with data analytics and AI is an asset.
  • Collaborator.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales and client data, and build dashboards to visualize trends and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI differently, proposing creative solutions to support sales effectiveness.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and document business needs for analytics and reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and decks that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Partner with team members to support ongoing initiatives and contribute to process improvements and enhancements to the internal sites and resources.
