About The Position

The Sales Director will own revenue, margin, and profitability for assigned segments, customers, and programs. This role involves developing and executing annual business plans, forecasts, and pipeline strategies, while tracking performance and implementing corrective actions to meet financial targets. The Sales Director will lead new business development and capture activities from opportunity identification through contract award, providing accurate forecasts, account reviews, and strategic updates to senior leadership. Responsibilities also include analyzing markets, competitors, and customer needs to define growth priorities, developing go-to-market strategies for new platforms, upgrades, and lifecycle opportunities, and identifying and prioritizing strategic pursuits aligned with company capabilities. The role requires structuring agreements to support long-term program performance and profitability, serving as a strategic advisor to customers, and leading regular business reviews. Additionally, the Sales Director will advocate customer requirements internally and drive resolution of delivery, quality, and performance issues, and translate market insights into product, technology, and operational planning inputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of Sales, New Business Development, and/or Account Management.
  • 2+ years of Leadership or potential ability to manage a team in the future.
  • Aerospace Industry experience…OEM, General Aviation, Business Aviation, and/or Aftermarket.
  • Strong knowledge of OEM and Tier supplier procurement and program structures.
  • Proven success leading long-cycle capture efforts and complex technical/commercial programs.
