About The Position

This position is a new vacancy. Working closely with the World Financial Group (WFG) Distribution sales management team, you will be responsible for strategic business development exclusively within the WFG distribution sales channel for Ontario. You will target business development opportunities within this distributor and identify and manage revenue generation and sustain profitable growth.

Requirements

  • A university degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Integral knowledge of the Canadian life insurance and wealth management market
  • Minimum of 5 years’ wholesaling experience in the individual insurance products industry, with particular strength in the universal life marketplace
  • Proven ability to seek and identify new business opportunities, including advanced casework
  • Proven ability to build on existing business
  • Ability to develop and build relationships with advisors
  • Sound knowledge of market competition
  • Ability to forecast needs of producers/advisors and understand the full scope of their individual businesses
  • Excellent communicator and presenter

Nice To Haves

  • Previous use of Salesforce is an asset
  • Life license preferred but not required
  • Sound knowledge of the WFG distribution network preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage targeted advisors and qualified prospects within the defined sales territory
  • Work closely with WFG sales management team to develop annual sales plans for targeted advisors consistent with regional WFG sales plan
  • Increase the sales productivity of the targeted advisor group
  • Assist advisors to design solutions through training for a variety of concepts
  • Build and grow advisor relationships with a goal of delivering value add to the customer
  • Maintain client contact on an established or regular basis
  • Regularly network within the WFG branch offices to grow advisor base through identifying new prospects
  • Initiate, develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal business partners
  • Regularly liaise with head office managers on all matters relating to the account
  • Develop and maintain life, mutual fund and securities industry knowledge and awareness
  • Individual networking through associations and external sales peer groups
  • Ongoing professional development and through selected education programs and publications
  • Travel extensively
  • Be prepared to represent ivari at various WFG events after normal business hours, and many weekends
  • Regularly attend WFG regional and /or national sales conventions
