About The Position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities and building the top of WCCTV's sales pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and targeted account development. This role will engage prospective customers across key WCCTV markets, including construction, critical infrastructure, utilities, government, and commercial security. The SDR will work closely with Territory Sales Executives and sales leadership to identify target accounts, engage key decision-makers, understand customer security needs, and schedule qualified sales meetings. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, recruiting, or another customer-facing environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with prospective customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable working toward measurable performance goals.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of prospecting activities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable learning and communicating technical products and solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous SDR, BDR, inside sales, or outbound prospecting experience.
  • Experience selling B2B products, technology, security solutions, SaaS, telecommunications, or related services.
  • Experience using CRM and sales prospecting platforms
  • Experience selling into construction, infrastructure, utilities, government, or commercial security markets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
  • Identify and research prospective customers within assigned territories and target industries.
  • Engage key decision-makers, including security, operations, construction, facilities, procurement, and executive leadership.
  • Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for Territory Sales Executives.
  • Follow up promptly on inbound leads, marketing campaigns, trade show contacts, referrals, and other lead sources.
  • Develop creative approaches to reaching new prospects and increasing engagement within target accounts.
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospective customers' security challenges, project requirements, timelines, and purchasing needs.
  • Qualify opportunities based on established WCCTV sales criteria.
  • Educate prospects on WCCTV's mobile surveillance, remote monitoring, and security solutions.
  • Identify appropriate next steps and transition qualified opportunities to the Territory Sales Executive.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects who are not yet ready to enter the active sales process.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Partner with Territory Sales Executives to develop territory-specific prospecting strategies.
  • Identify new projects, construction activity, infrastructure investments, and other events that may create demand for WCCTV solutions.
  • Support account penetration by identifying additional locations, projects, departments, and decision-makers within existing and prospective customer organizations.
  • Meet or exceed established activity, meeting, opportunity-generation, and pipeline targets.
  • Accurately document prospecting activity, customer interactions, opportunities, and next steps within the company's CRM.
  • Maintain accurate and current prospect and account information.
  • Follow established lead management and sales development processes.
  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing leadership regarding prospect trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
