This role is ideal for someone curious with a basic understanding of Starburst's offerings, who will receive comprehensive training and support. The position requires an individual who can manage day-to-day details while understanding the big picture, directing sales efforts to Account Executives. This is a foundational role for a career in software sales, as the first dedicated LATAM Sales Development Representative, pioneering Starburst's presence in Latin America and building the groundwork for a significant growth region. The role involves reaching out to prospective customers in Latin America with tailored hypotheses on how Starburst can solve their pain points, considering cultural and market awareness. The SDR will build and develop a territory from scratch, owning the playbook and setting standards for the region, meticulously tracking outbound activity, and nurturing leads. They will interact with potential customers through various channels, including in-person meetings, trainings, and trade shows, and will learn the basics of prospecting and discovery. The role requires meeting and exceeding lead generation quotas through outbound prospecting (email, phone, social media) in key LATAM markets (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile), qualifying leads, assessing needs, and collaborating with regional Account Executives and cross-functional teams on LATAM-specific messaging and outreach strategies.
