About The Position

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Environmental Sales Team. In this role, you will be accountable for identifying, qualifying, and generating new sales opportunities across assigned markets and product lines. The SDR plays a critical role as the connection point between marketing initiatives and our field and territory sales teams – helping turn interest into meaningful conversations and long-term customer partnerships. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven ability to prospect, including confidence and creativity in cold calling and entering new markets.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools such as Salesforce.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred fields: Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related areas.
  • Experience using prospecting tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator) preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental or related industry products is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective customers through outbound calls, emails, and social channels across assigned markets and product lines.
  • Create targeted outreach campaigns for specific regions and customer segments.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using defined criteria and a strong understanding of customer needs.
  • Schedule qualified sales appointments for Territory or Account Sales Managers.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly lead generation and appointment-setting targets.
  • Develop and manage target prospect lists to support faster sales cycles.
  • Support lead preparation and follow-up for conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all prospect interactions in Salesforce.
  • Manage assigned lead pipelines to ensure proper follow-up, progression, or disqualification.
  • Provide visibility into pipeline health, conversion trends, and activity metrics to sales leadership.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to support lead-nurturing efforts and provide feedback on lead quality and messaging effectiveness.
  • Share market insights, customer feedback, objections, and emerging needs with sales and leadership teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of outreach messaging, scripts, and qualification strategies.
  • Use data, feedback, and performance insights to refine outreach efforts and improve conversion rates.
  • Leverage approved sales tools and technologies to drive efficiency, consistency, and results.
  • Actively build product and industry knowledge across assigned offerings and supported product lines.
