About The Position

This role exists to buy back 10–15 hours per week for the owner by delegating the systematic pre-qualification, vetting, and pre-construction intake process. As the company scales toward $5M in annual sales, the SDR will handle first-touch sales calls, educate prospects on the pre-construction workflow, and move only properly qualified clients into paid, on-site assessments. The role also reduces the administrative load on field staff by coordinating follow-ups with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated construction industry knowledge, including terminology and core processes
  • Proven experience in sales development/appointment setting or client intake for construction or trades
  • Professional phone presence and excellent spoken/written English
  • Strong organization and follow-through; able to run a systematic intake/vetting process
  • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
  • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
  • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
  • Back-up computer and internet connection
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial intake calls to capture scope, expectations, timelines, and budget
  • Educate prospects on the company’s pre-construction process and paid site assessment model
  • Determine fit and readiness before advancing prospects to the next step
  • Guide qualified leads through the A-to-Z pre-construction system and required documentation
  • Set expectations on deliverables, timelines, and fees; process/track pre-construction agreements
  • Schedule paid on-site evaluations only for aligned, ready-to-proceed clients
  • Handle incoming sales calls and referrals; log, track, and nurture leads
  • Maintain pipeline hygiene and automate/standardize repetitive client communications
  • Book and confirm qualified appointments so the owner focuses on high-value clients
  • Follow up with vendors on material orders and delivery schedules; close communication loops
  • Check project status with field teams and relay updates to stakeholders
  • Reduce context-switching for field staff wearing multiple hats by owning comms and reminders
  • Assist with day-to-day admin across both general contracting and plumbing divisions
  • Support scheduling, document control, and project-level data review/organization
  • Collaborate across team members as needed to keep operations running smoothly
