About The Position

Nexis Solutions, part of LexisNexis and the global RELX corporate family, connects customers to market-leading data through a flexible suite of scalable solutions, including their award-winning, flagship Nexis® research platform. They empower business, media, non-profit, government, and academic organizations worldwide to quickly discover actionable insights. The dynamic New Business team is expanding and is seeking a proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their award-winning sales team. In this role, the SDR will drive new business by leveraging both inbound and outbound strategies, identifying key decision makers, and nurturing relationships that lead to qualified sales opportunities. The position reports to a gNS Sales Leader and involves working closely with Business Development Managers, serving as the first point of contact for potential clients to pave the way for long-term partnerships. The role emphasizes continuous improvement with the goal of advancing into higher-level sales roles within 6-12 months.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a professional and clear telephone manner
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and LinkedIn
  • Be highly competitive, self-motivated, adaptable and organized with effective time management skills
  • Be able to utilize company systems and tools to manage customer data
  • Be able to follow defined processes meticulously while maintaining a detail-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or inside sales is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing inbound lead qualification
  • Managing outbound sales campaigns targeting designated prospect lists through strategic calling, emailing, and online research
  • Leveraging inbound marketing efforts to identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Building relationships
  • Assisting in identifying, building, and nurturing relationships with key decision makers to establish a network of prospective clients
  • Working closely with sales teams to schedule and secure qualified appointments
