About The Position

First Due’s mission is to prevent first responder injury or death by providing fire and EMS agencies with transformative, end-to-end software solutions that empower them to run safer, smarter, and more effective operations. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for proactively identifying and qualifying potential customers to fuel First Due’s sales pipeline. You will work closely with the sales team to engage prospects, schedule meetings, and support lead nurturing efforts. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales development, business development, or similar role (SaaS experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects in meaningful conversations.
  • Motivated, goal-driven, and eager to learn—a true self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and following up persistently to drive engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and contribute to a positive sales culture.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Qualify Leads: Conduct outreach via phone and email to identify and engage potential customers.
  • Generate Meetings for the FD Sales Team: Secure and schedule discovery calls by effectively communicating First Due’s value proposition.
  • Conduct Initial Discovery: Gather insights into customer needs, pain points, and buying intent to ensure a smooth handoff to the sales team.
  • Maintain CRM Data Accuracy: Keep all prospect interactions, lead statuses, and activities updated in Zoho CRM to ensure seamless tracking.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing: Work closely with sales leadership and marketing teams to optimize outreach strategies and improve lead conversion.
  • Meet and Exceed Performance Goals: Consistently achieve or surpass KPIs related to outreach, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Maintain a strong understanding of the public safety technology space, including key trends and challenges faced by Fire & EMS agencies.
