Sales Development Representative - West Coast

Chapter 2San Francisco, CA
Remote

About The Position

Chapter 2 is an embedded talent business that partners with high-growth startups and scale-ups across the US and Europe. They embed senior recruiters directly into client teams under a Talent OS model, combining recruitment, employer branding, and technology to deliver immediate hires and long-term hiring infrastructure. Their clients are typically Series A–D companies in SaaS, deep tech, and healthcare that need to scale rapidly without the overhead of a full internal TA team. Chapter 2 has grown to over 160 people globally in under four years and is now building its US business. This role is for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) responsible for owning the pipeline for both coasts of the US, identifying and engaging potential clients, qualifying opportunities, and working with the US co-founder to close deals. The role is designed for individuals motivated by uncapped earning potential and building a career in sales from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Experience in RPO, embedded talent provision, or recruitment agency environments (e.g., Talentful, Paraform, Karat, boutique exec search firms).
  • Understanding of embedded recruiting and its advantages over contingency hiring.
  • Familiarity with the US startup ecosystem, including how Series A companies approach talent, the concept of a Talent OS, and the benefits of embedded recruiting.
  • Knowledge of target buyer personas (Heads of Talent, Senior Talent Managers, Chief People Officers), their challenges, language, and what captures their attention.
  • Extensive and proficient use of AI for personalized outreach at scale, account intelligence, and workflow automation.
  • High level of initiative and proactivity; identifying opportunities and acting on them without constant direction.
  • Ambition and comfort with risk, motivated by significant earning potential.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including crisp written outreach and confident phone presence.
  • Ability to articulate complex value propositions simply and quickly.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, as the US business is currently being established.
