Sales Development Representative Intern – Dallas
About The Position
The Echo Trailblazers internship program offers a unique opportunity to spend the summer learning all the ins and outs of a sales team within the dynamic world of transportation. As a member of the Echo Global Logistics team, interns will work on real-world projects, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to simplifying transportation for clients and carriers. This program fosters a passionate and driven sales force in the 3PL space, focusing on developing skills in prospecting, lead generation, solution positioning, and closing business. Interns will be partnered with a mentor within the Sales team and gain hands-on experience in the logistics industry and the sales process.
Requirements
- Must be able to start May 24, 2027 and complete the entire 10 week program
- Currently enrolled at a university as a rising senior, with at least one semester remaining after completion of internship
- Able to work in our Dallas office 4 days and hybrid 1 day a week
- Passion for Logistics: A keen interest and willingness to learn and try new things
- Possess a can-do attitude and believes anything is possible with the right focus
- Be organized, professional, and coachable with strong problem solving, communication, time management, and project management skills
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support the team in various ways
Responsibilities
- Prospect and build a pipeline of new business opportunities through outbound phone calls
- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer needs and position Echo’s logistics solutions
- Deliver demos, navigate objections, negotiate pricing, and close new business
- Manage opportunities through the sales funnel and maintain strong pipeline discipline
- Set customers up for success through clear expectations and a smooth handoff after close
- Use Echo’s sales tools and technology along with AI tools to drive efficiency and results
