About The Position

Herman Miller is hiring a Sales & Design Specialist to represent the brand in its Walnut Creek Broadway store. The role combines consultative selling with design guidance, helping clients create spaces that support wellness and productivity. The specialist serves as a trusted advisor to clients seeking quality, ergonomics, and timeless style, and contributes to the store’s overall success. The position reports directly to the General Manager.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, or client-facing design consultation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools.
Ability to lift or move items over 40 lbs and adhere to safety protocols.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Inspire and educate clients through in-store demonstrations and personalized consultations.
Design tailored solutions aligned with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals.
Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads.
Collaborate with the Architecture & Design community to grow brand awareness and partnerships.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience.
Process transactions and manage orders accurately and efficiently.
