About The Position

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for playing a critical role in driving revenue and developing guest experiences, while fostering client relationships, coordinating events and implementing strategic sales initiatives. Reporting to the VP, Hotel Operations, this role requires the ability to deliver personalized experiences that reflect the hotel’s luxury standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in hospitality and/or sales.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must understand how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with a high level of dedication.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

  • Prospect a list of company and referral leads generated through research, networking, social media, special events.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.
  • Generate sales presentations and a variety of additional materials for prospective customers highlighting event space and facility amenities.
  • Welcome prospective clients for site visits while maintaining an active presence in the hotel.
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding guest satisfaction for the hotel.
  • Correspond with prospects and answer any questions about the hotel’s venue options, rates, room types, venue packages, or promotions.
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to execute events or conferences.
  • Gather and assemble sales collateral to send to prospects.
  • Understand customers and build company loyalty.
  • Send prospects emails and cold calls.
  • Enthusiastically pursue hotel Sales targets and goals as set by Senior Management.
  • Attend Hospitality trade shows and Community events which will require travel in representation of The Loden Hotel.
  • Provide total account management using CRM tools to manage client relationships and group requests.
  • Carefully walk new prospective clients through the sales cycle to discover their preferences and offer personalized services that meet their needs.
  • Call current and potential clients to follow-up with critical details of group blocks and events as well as write correspondence and various documentation using proper grammar and format.
  • File correspondence and documents as necessary.
  • Provide information on group dates, rates, and deadlines.
  • Ensure that all pertinent deadlines are met.
  • Promote and represent the hotel through personal involvement in community and professional organizations.
  • Assist with writing rate proposals and agreements.
  • Answer phone calls to Sales, take accurate messages and transfer telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
  • Review major complaints received from customers and recommend corrective action to the applicable business unit and function.
  • Utilize a mechanism to collect, analyze, and report competitive information.
  • Provide assistance and coverage in hotel operations, as needed.
  • Closely follow up on all business leads within 24-hour timeline to clients.
  • Quote and provide booking confirmation based on current and future forecasts.
  • Develop, implement, and execute quarterly and annual actions plans to drive activity.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Attend all hotel-wide and sponsored events with a natural desire to elevate the brand and be involved with Loden Culture.
  • Engage with a natural presence that ensures guest acknowledgement and a warm welcome.
