About The Position

The Sales Catering Coordinator is responsible for answering sales/catering office phones when sales staff is not available and responding to all sales inquiries accurately, timely, and in a professional manner. This role involves performing clerical duties, maintaining filing systems, coordinating groups as contracted by the Sales team, and ensuring client needs are met. The coordinator will also communicate with various departments to ensure successful execution of meetings and functions, develop strong customer relationships, and assist managers with scheduling and travel arrangements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least one-two years of previous sales and/or catering coordinator experience required.
  • Performs work with little or no supervision; works independently.

Responsibilities

  • Answer sales/catering office phones when sales staff is not available and respond to all sales inquiries accurately, timely, and in a professional manner.
  • Perform clerical duties such as typing correspondence and reports, filing, and answering phones.
  • Maintain and upkeep various filing systems, including vendor information where necessary.
  • Maintain and update sales files.
  • Coordinate all groups as contracted by the Sales team.
  • Contact and provide appropriate follow-up on all signed/contracted business and determine and coordinate all needs of the customer.
  • Effectively communicate with the various departments to ensure that the meeting and related functions are executed to exceed the client’s expectations.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
  • Assist managers in scheduling appointments, meetings and travel arrangements for business trips as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
