The OTIP Group of Companies (OGC) is seeking a Bilingual (French/English) Sales Broker who is RIBO Licensed. Requirements

  • A RIBO license is required, or an OTL license with the expectation to obtain a RIBO license within 45 days of employment.
  • A minimum of one year’s experience in personal lines, automobile, property and marine insurance.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer issues in a pleasant and positive manner.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in English and French is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Epic, Applied Rating Services and Company portals.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from customers seeking quotes or looking to expand their coverage.
  • Uncover customer needs, recommend tailored insurance solutions, and provide accurate, competitive quotes.
  • Introduce new products and services, and explain coverage options.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience that builds loyalty and drives additional business.
  • Actively ask for referrals to help grow the sales pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  • Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects.
  • Respond promptly to telephone inquiries and written requests.
  • Follow up on ex-dates, re-quote prospects from previous years, and contact cancelled files.
  • Contact leads generated and ask for referrals.
  • Create a trusting environment that fosters new sales opportunities and retention of existing business to increase sales potential.
  • Actively participate within the team unit and independently to continuously contribute to overall business improvement.
  • Own and resolve all customer inquiries, ensuring customer effort is minimized.
  • Accurately process account changes, maintain complete customer documentation, and prepare correspondence.
  • Document files for follow-up in EPIC.
  • Tackle complex insurance-related cases, creatively utilizing all available resources until full resolution is met.
  • Keep updated on company underwriting guidelines and changing markets.
  • Perform other duties within competence, as assigned.
