About The Position

Michael & Associates is seeking a Sales/Intake Attorney to be the primary point of contact for individuals needing legal representation. The role involves connecting with clients facing serious criminal charges, evaluating their cases, and demonstrating how the firm can provide superior legal services. This position does not involve cold calling, as all leads are pre-qualified and actively seeking legal support. The main objective is to build trust, communicate the firm's strengths, and guide potential clients towards securing legal services.

Requirements

  • You will spend a significant amount of time on the phone daily, connecting with potential clients seeking assistance.
  • You enjoy interacting with people, hearing their stories, and directing them to the most suitable legal solutions.
  • You find fulfillment in having meaningful conversations and helping clients move forward toward achieving peace of mind.
  • Strong phone sales skills: friendly, empathetic, professional, confident, knowledgeable about the law, and capable of handling questions or concerns.
  • Prior experience in phone-based sales or client consultations is a major plus.
  • An active California Bar license, or a clear plan to obtain one; or
  • An active Bar license from another state for 5+ years, which can streamline admission to the California Bar; or
  • A Bar license from a state that has reciprocity with California (if applicable).
  • You love being on the phone and find satisfaction in helping people during stressful times.

  • Prior experience in phone-based sales or client consultations is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Hold daily consultations with around 20 qualified leads.
  • Quickly establish rapport, identify client needs, and obtain signed retainers.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of California criminal law and the firm's defense strategies.
  • Respond confidently to client inquiries and clearly explain the firm's approach.
  • Provide support to clients who may feel anxious, uncertain, or overwhelmed.
  • Exhibit professionalism, patience, and empathy to foster trust and confidence.
