About The Position

The Sales Associate works in the Retail Store and reports to the Store Manager. The role focuses on assisting customers with product information and recommendations, maintaining merchandise and store displays, and building customer relationships to support sales goals. The associate represents the store positively and helps keep the assigned department organized, stocked, and safe.

This active position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing throughout the day. Employees must frequently lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

• Greet customers, determine their needs and wants, and recommend merchandise.
• Advise customers on the use and care of merchandise as needed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer questions or concerns.
• Stock and recover merchandise.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
• Ensure proper signage is in place throughout the assigned department.
• Use a computer to check prices and inventories.
• Assist with inventory preparation.
• Create special orders as needed.
• Maintain awareness of potential hazards to employees or customers in the store.
• Handle customer complaints, questions, or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Bring carts in from outside.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain store displays and visual appearance, and keep up with trends and competition.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to help achieve sales goals and represent the store positively.
