About The Position

The Sales Associate works closely with customers, providing product knowledge about features, warranties, discounts, deals, and other product information. The role helps maintain the store’s visual appearance through store displays and awareness of trends and competition. Associates build and maintain long-term customer relationships to achieve sales goals and represent the store positively. This position is part-time in the Retail Store department and reports to the Store Manager. It is non-exempt.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, determine their needs and wants, and recommend merchandise.
Advise customers on the use and care of merchandise as needed.
Answer customer questions and concerns promptly and in a friendly manner.
Stock and recover merchandise.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
Ensure proper signage is in place throughout the assigned department.
Use a computer to check prices and inventories.
Assist with inventory preparation.
Create special orders as needed.
Maintain awareness of hazards in the store that could affect employees or customers.
Handle customer complaints, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Bring carts in from outside.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
