Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Farm- Gloversville, NY
About The Position
The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, operating the cash register, assembling products, and performing general housekeeping and other duties assigned by the manager. Knowledge of farm products is required. This part-time position is 20 hours per week, with nights and weekends required. The Sales Associate reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The work takes place in a retail store, including cold and warm conditions, and involves an irregular work schedule. Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of farm products.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to bend and twist frequently.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with customer-service questions.
- Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Handle customer returns.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
