About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of products across store departments, adherence to the visual manual and other company policies and standards, and promotion of sales and special offers. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the associate creates a distinctive customer experience to acquire and retain customers, promotes merchandise, and provides outstanding service. The position supports daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup, shipments, and maintenance. It has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers as they enter and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to develop selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend staff meetings and store tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective, and by reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
