About The Position
The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers and supports customer satisfaction and store profitability while protecting company assets. The role includes helping customers locate and purchase merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and completing other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
- Knowledge of basic cash-handling procedures and basic mathematics.
- Ability to perform cash register functions and stock merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Operate the cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise, and provide assistance with merchandise as needed.
- Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves, following company merchandise processes.
- Build merchandise displays and help set up sidewalk displays.
- Recover merchandise and clean the store, including taking out trash, dusting and mopping floors, and cleaning the restroom and receiving room.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
