About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives by supporting their daily needs and wellbeing. The agency describes itself as a caring, customer-centric team that values and respects its caregivers. The position is based in Park Forest, Illinois, and is performed in person in clients’ homes. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with flexible working hours. Paid training is provided. Compensation is $19–$20 per hour, with weekly pay and direct deposit.

Requirements

At least 1 year of home care or caregiving experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including during appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them shopping as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
