About The Position

ARIS at home is seeking experienced caregivers for in-home senior care in Park Forest. Caregivers provide one-on-one support, including personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and assistance with transfers. The role requires gait belt experience, reliable transportation, flexibility, and the ability to lift at least 25 pounds. Caregivers are not hired as certified nursing assistants (CNAs). Available shifts are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

Must have gait belt experience.
Ability to interpret the client’s provided plan of care.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations.
Must be reachable by phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and/or emergencies.
Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Nonsmoker.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care.

Responsibilities

Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feeding.
Assist clients with transfers using a gait belt.
Provide companionship and conversation.
Perform light housekeeping, including laundry and changing linens.
Lay out clothes and assist clients with dressing.
Plan and prepare meals.
Provide medication reminders.
