About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of Apex, Garner, and Fuquay-Varina is hiring experienced caregivers to provide home care to clients in the Sandford area. The locally owned agency serves South Wake County and surrounding communities and is licensed to operate in Lee County under HC8269. Its mission is to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home through personalized care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. This role involves supporting clients with personal care, mobility, household tasks, meals, companionship, and individualized care plans. Part-time and PRN work is available, with hours that may reach full-time. Work is performed in person in clients’ homes. Requirements
- Caregiving experience.
- Compassionate and professional attitude.
- Current TB test or ability to obtain one.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide mobility assistance and transfers.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions.
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
