About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the position’s most important aspects. The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, maintains an orderly sales environment, and complies with company policies and training programs. The role also helps prevent theft and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in reducing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
