About The Position

The Sales Associate assists with receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise while helping maintain clean, orderly merchandise displays and overall store cleanliness. The role provides friendly, customized customer service, helps customers find products and solve problems, and supports daily store operations. Associates are expected to contribute to a positive, professional, and safe work environment and to demonstrate Ace Retail Group’s Core Values in their daily decisions and interactions.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb.
Ability to demonstrate and incorporate the company’s Core Values into daily decisions and interactions.

Nice To Haves

Formal retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent Westlake Ace Hardware positively and provide friendly, customized customer service.
Greet customers, assist them with questions and problems, thank them when their visit is complete, and refer complaints that cannot be resolved to management.
Answer pages and calls promptly, courteously, and effectively.
Maintain strong product and store-layout knowledge to help customers locate products.
Assist with receiving, checking in, stocking, and pricing merchandise and maintaining back stock levels.
Maintain the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area, including cleanliness and orderliness.
Help keep the sales floor, end caps, and advertising merchandise clean and orderly.
Assist with merchandise resets, price changes, and special orders.
Keep store signage current.
Operate a forklift after receiving proper training.
Communicate Store Support Center issues, merchandising ideas, cost-control ideas, and sales ideas to the General Manager.
Participate in store meetings and maintain professional appearance and conduct.
Help create a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
