About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position.

The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, maintains an organized sales environment, and assists with preventing theft. The position requires working effectively in a fast-paced retail environment and may involve extended hours during critical project phases.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise and build customer relationships while meeting DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic impression.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and organize the store as directed by store management.
• Perform other assigned duties.
