About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate works in a fast-paced retail environment and follows company policies and DTLR standards.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and sell appropriate merchandise while building customer relationships and maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and organize the store as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
