About The Position

The Sales Associate is a commission-eligible position responsible for assisting customers with their shopping needs and providing an exceptional shopping experience. The role requires knowledge of Veronica Beard merchandise, awareness of current fashion trends, and the ability to convey the brand and its style. This position is based at the Short Hills location. The Sales Associate supports sales by helping customers find merchandise that meets their needs, providing service and fashion guidance, meeting selling goals, and developing a client base. The role also helps maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness, supports shipments and replenishment, follows company policies, and attends store meetings. Associates represent Veronica Beard’s fashion and style and may appear on camera for social media content. The role requires a friendly, positive, and professional manner and participation in a workplace climate built on mutual trust, respect, and teamwork. Requirements

At least 1 year of retail service and selling experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
High school education or equivalent.
Basic math skills for purchase and payment transactions and bank deposits.
Strong verbal and communication skills.
Strong observation skills, including assessing customer and employee behavior and reactions and maintaining floor awareness.
Ability to retain and use information such as names, merchandise details, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.
Comfort with being on camera for social media, including still photos and video.

Responsibilities

Assist customers through wardrobing and selling merchandise that meets and exceeds their needs.
Greet customers and provide exceptional service.
Respond to and follow through on customer needs.
Consistently achieve selling standards and goals.
Provide merchandise information and current fashion tips to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
Represent the fashion and style of Veronica Beard.
Use the Client Program and book to develop and build a client base that generates consistent sales.
Maintain displays, replenish merchandise on the sales floor, and assist with floor-set execution.
Return merchandise from fitting rooms to the selling floor.
Help maintain cleanliness of the store and backroom.
Process merchandise shipments as needed.
Replenish merchandise daily so all merchandise is represented on the sales floor.
Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Meet company dependability guidelines, including attendance requirements.
Attend store meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
