About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the position’s primary focuses. The associate is expected to maintain DTLR standards, support store operations, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in retail or customer service.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to understand customer needs, recommend appropriate merchandise, and build customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Create a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression for customers and demonstrate enthusiasm toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Help prevent employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other assigned duties.
