About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate in the Paint department, you welcome Lowe’s customers and help them find products and services for their home improvement needs. You listen to customers, answer questions, assist with product selection, occasionally load merchandise, and help ensure their needs are met. The role also involves organizing and replenishing merchandise, accurately processing orders and deliveries, and preparing department merchandise based on customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint. Associates may cross-train in other store areas and their daily responsibilities may vary by department.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities needed for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Follow lifting guidelines, which limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate, handle, and select merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
- Prepare merchandise based on customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
