About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key aspects of the position are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate is expected to understand basic fashion and trends, meet customer needs with appropriate merchandise, and maintain DTLR standards while building customer relationships.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and perform accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in retail or customer service.

Responsibilities

Sell appropriate merchandise to meet customer needs while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with all company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
