About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including providing excellent customer service, driving sales, merchandising, and completing other duties assigned by management. Work is expected to be professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented. The standard work week is 35 to 40 hours. The role may require working in multiple stores within the assigned district.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision and take charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style-trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street-lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships and assist customers professionally, courteously, attentively, honestly, and responsively.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable product assistance.
Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining company standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring issues that could cause loss or inconsistencies and help the store meet shrink goals.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft, and follow loss-prevention and security procedures.
Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during assigned work, and work with management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments and potential problems relevant to effective management.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
