About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring part-time Sales Associates, also referred to as Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks, for Fine Wine & Good Spirits store #0930 in Doylestown Pointe Plaza. The Sales Associate provides customer service, assists with sales, and helps maintain a welcoming store environment. The role offers competitive pay, career advancement opportunities, and experience in retail. Positions are eligible for Affordable Care Act/Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment. This is permanent, part-time employment. A minimum of 13 hours per week is required, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week depending on availability and store needs. Shifts are typically 4 to 7.5 hours and may include rotating weekday and weekend daytime or evening hours. Store schedules may change to meet operational needs, and employees may be assigned to other stores in the county or district. The role is based in the listed store and does not offer telework. Free staff parking is available, and the store is accessible by public transportation.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions, including the stated lifting and standing tasks.
Must pass a background investigation.
A felony conviction within the last ten years of the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant from working for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.

Nice To Haves

Preferred availability of 25 to 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
Lift and handle products weighing 30 to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including overhead and from a squatting position.
Stand for extended periods.
Keep the store clean and organized.
Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
Follow legal requirements to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to purchase it.
Work cooperatively in a team-oriented store environment.
