About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate follows DTLR standards and company policies, supports store operations, and helps maintain an organized and welcoming sales environment.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service, maintain accurate inventory, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate merchandise, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic impression.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and organize the store as directed by store management.
• Perform other assigned duties.
