About The Position

The Sales Associate provides friendly, professional customer service in Lowe’s Outside Lawn & Garden department. The role welcomes customers, helps them locate and select products and services for home improvement needs, answers questions, and supports customers throughout shopping or checkout. Associates also handle merchandise, replenish shelves, process orders and deliveries, and may perform department-specific product preparation. Work may involve inside and outside conditions, changing weather, noise, and moving equipment. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed; regular travel is not required.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the role.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service.
Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
Replenish merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and down stocking supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support customer service.
Prepare department merchandise according to customer needs.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
