About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate in Pro Services, you welcome customers to Lowe’s and help them find products and services for their home improvement needs. You provide friendly, professional service, help customers locate and select merchandise, and ensure their needs are met. Work is based in one of several store departments according to hiring needs and skillsets, and daily responsibilities may vary by department. The role involves spending much of the day listening and answering questions, organizing merchandise, and occasionally loading merchandise. The position is full-time and day shift.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or lift more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate, handle, and select merchandise and services.
- Down stock merchandise by finding empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support customer service.
- Prepare merchandise according to customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, cutting drywall, or cutting blinds.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Occasionally load merchandise.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
