About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and builds customer relationships by providing excellent service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards, supports shipment processing and replenishment, follows visual standards, and helps keep the store organized and orderly. The role also involves complying with company policies, participating in service and product training, and helping prevent theft.

The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers; basic knowledge of fashion and style trends; and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting. Previous retail or customer service experience and a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred but not required. The associate must be able to stand for extended periods, lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 pounds, work extended hours during critical project phases, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and use selling techniques to drive sales and build customer relationships.
• Demonstrate basic fashion and trend knowledge and recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic manner with customers and toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
